Westray is a Fairtrade Island

Westray has held Fairtrade Island status since 2007. Last week, sixty six local businesses and organisations met to celebrate and renew their commitment to Westray’s Fairtrade Island Charter. We are very happy to be one of those businesses. The pledge includes a commitment to using fairly traded products wherever possible, and to support local businesses. We shop local, use fairly traded ingredients, and our tour lunches use produce from local suppliers – The Westray Bakehouse, Pierowall Fish, Westray Chutney, Wilsons of Westray Cheese, Orkney Butter, and our eggs are always local. Our morning coffees are brewed from Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company’s fairly traded beans. We look forward to sharing these high quality products with you on your tour.

Tours begin in April, when the sun comes out…!
